Built in the early 1990s by renowned guide Richard Bonham and now run by Nomad Tanzania, Sand Rivers Selous is a barefoot-luxury camp on a rocky peninsula above the Rufiji River — one of the oldest camps in what is now Nyerere National Park. Eight open-fronted cottages (including three Hillside Suites with private plunge pools) overlook the river, with boat trips, bush walks and fishing run from camp.
