The Victoria Falls Hotel opened in 1904 to serve passengers on the newly built Cape-to-Cairo railway and is known as the 'Grand Old Lady of the Falls', a short walk from Victoria Falls with views of the Second Gorge and Victoria Falls Bridge from its terrace. The 161-room hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and has hosted royalty and historic regional conferences over more than a century, and has long been jointly managed by African Sun and Meikles Hospitality.
