Set on 3,240 hectares of private farmland 22 km north-east of Kamanjab in the Kunene Region, Toko-Eco-Lodge is a panoramic eco-retreat and the ideal base for exploring Etosha National Park, the culture-rich Far North, Epupa Falls, and the ovaHimba homeland in Kaokoland. The lodge takes its name from the endemic Monteiro's Hornbill – one of three hornbill species seen around the property. Eighteen spacious en-suite rooms (11 standard, 7 luxury/chalet) open onto wide verandahs with sweeping savannah views. The main lodge houses a restaurant serving set-menu dinners and breakfasts (buffet for groups), a bar, and a comfortable lounge. Guests unwind at the swimming pool, join sundowner drives across the farm, or walk the guided hiking trails to the ancient San rock engravings at Peet Albert's Koppie – inscribed into Kamanjab Granite up to 200,000 years ago and unique to this area. The signature Katenda Himba Village excursion provides an authentic, respectful encounter with the ovaHimba: a nomadic community who demonstrate traditional customs, crafts, livestock herding, and the famous otjize beauty ritual.
